Wavpack lossy - display bitrates, etc.

Hi,

I am just starting out with Wavpack to archive my CDs because I really like the fact there is a lossy version in the same encoding process.

However, just wondering how can I get foobar to display the bitrate, encoder information, etc., for each track? Similarly, the bitrate of the lossy version is also not displayed when I use Tag & Rename? Are there command line flags I need to pass to wakpack?

By the way, I am using EAC with Wavpack 4.2. Thanks!

Louis.

Different programs show different items because developers have different opinions about this. The -s option of wvunpack will show you both the lossy and lossless bitrate of hybrid files, but I don't know of any other program that will. Of course, you can always move the correction files to a temporary folder (which makes the wv files lossy, obviously) and then check the bitrate again, although in some programs (like foobar2000) you'll need to reload the information from the files.

BTW, the foobar2000 plugin available on the WavPack site may give more information than the one supplied with foobar2000 because it is newer.

Thanks for trying out WavPack!
