I have already replied ... please read the thread. I may improve the name, however.
Edit: A better name will be provided in the next version.

I'm sorry, I must have missed your reply. Thank you for changing the name - the two terms are indeed confusing. It would be nice if you could also add the Sort option to the (now-called Lock properties) dialog. Thanks!

I might be doing something wrong, but keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl-P, Ctrl-F, etc.) don't seem to work when foo_plorg has focus: is this intended?
This was indeed the case, but with CUI only. It should be fixed now in the new version. Please confirm.

That is done as well in the new version, but there is no way to separate the sort option from the rest. Sorry.

I've been using this component for a while now, and just upgraded to version 1.6

I'm using DUI, and while it works great, I'm still having trouble using keyboard shortcuts (i.e. Ctrl+F) when it has focus.

I see you have fixed this issue for CUI, but I'm wondering whether you were aware that it still persists in DUI.

Thanks.

I cannot reproduce any problem here with keyboard shortcuts using DUI.

Ctrl+F (if mapped to Edit->Search main menu entry, which is the default shortcut) refers to "Playlist Search" and is only available if the playlist view has focus (which may be questionable but has nothing to do with foo_plorg) . The menu entry is grayed out otherwise, which explains that the shortcut don't work. You can try the standard Playlist Manager which behaves the same way.

Please provide other examples if shortcuts are not working with DUI.

Sorry, my mistake about the Playlist Search shortcut.

Say for example if I press Alt, when I release the key, the focus goes back to foo_plorg. With other components (and other programs), when releasing the Alt key, the focus will remain and give access to the file menu.

It's not that big of an issue though, as I can still use Alt as a normal modifier key (i.e. Alt+F simultaneously).

...  if possible you could select under options> show playlist> combinations ability to select more that one of the options available  i.e. Items & size

That would eat too much space on the right side.
Try to use one of the new variables instead like kumbbl suggested :
[-] Folder
    Playlist1 (8)........................... 1:25:12
    Playlist2 (3).............................. 17:23

Yes adding %count% to preferences/nodes and using size gives me exactly what im after ..thx again

A feature request: Display customizable icons next to each item, depending on if it is a folder, a playlist, or an autoplaylist. It would make it much easier to distinguish normal playlists from autoplaylists in this manner.

Working fine now; thank you and apologies for the late reply.

Another minor issue: I have some PLO folders containing playlists of radio streams and these nodes (and the root node as well) show a question mark as %children_count%. Can this be fixed?

Regards.

Alessandro

Edit: I meant fixed as in showing the correct number of children, I know I can get rid of the question mark using [ ].

%children_count% has been renamed to %count% - so use %count% and Bob will be your uncle ;-)

Thanks! I somehow missed that. Funnily enough though, %children_count% does work for ordinary playlists...

Edit: nevermind, I obviously can't read

Can you add "Pseudo-transparent Background" option like in ELPlaylist?

The Alt Key behavior should  be fixed in the new version, which also introduces shared selection management. Please redownload or use the built-in updater.

Maybe  an option to change vertical item padding, the space between playlist names? I really miss this.

Shared selection is the selection of tracks that is shared across UI elements or panels. As a consequence of supporting it in foo_plorg :
  • If you use the "Selection Properties" UI element in default UI you will notice that it is now refreshed when the selected playlist changes in foo_plorg.
  • Similarly (but more subtle), if you use foo_quicksearch and select a playlist (with one item ...)  in foo_plorg, you will notice that keyboard shortcuts mapped to "quicksearch for same ...." actions are now working, which was not the case in previous versions of foo_plorg.

Thank you for the update. However, it's still not possible to use Alt+F4 to close foobar2000 when the component has focus.

When ctrl+dragging+dropping a song from the Playlist View into a playlist in plorg, is it possible to not have the destination playlist selected? It's a pain to constantly have to select the playlist I was originally on over and over again.

It's already on the todo list

Awesome. Great plugin, btw, thanks for the work.

There is some irritating behaviour when renaming playlists/folders with keyboard-shortcuts:

If you activate playlists on double click ("activate on single click" not selected in the options):
- "Rename" by context-menu works on the selected playlist/folder
- "Rename" by keyboard-shortcut only works on the active playlist

Is this behaviour intended?!
I found myself renaming the "wrong" (active) playlist using the shortcut since i got used to the fact renaming works on the selected playlist using the context-menu...

- "Rename" by keyboard-shortcut only works on the active playlist

Not exactly :
- "Rename" by context-menu works on the playlist/folder indicated by the mouse position and then selects the playlist or folder
- "Rename" by keyboard-shortcut works on the selected playlist/folder (because some playlist has to be chosen)
This is by design

Hi NEMO7538!
First of all I'd like to thank you for this great component!
One behavior problem. I don't know if this is discussed before, but every time i start/restart foobar (DUI)
the playlist organizer tab will be activated, not the tab that was open before close/restart, this is not happening on CUI.
I'm using foobar 1.1.1 beta 2 and foo_plorg 1.7 at the moment.
Can you fix this behavior?
Thanks.

foo_plorg just lives inside a tab, it does not control tabs
