Some menu items use the same iconfolder-*
I don't believe its possible to create custom variables.

Thank you for your quick reply and useful information, zeremy.

Based on your reply, I understand that some folder icons in browsing menu share the same icon variable and image.
It looks strange to me, but for the moment I will follow your advice and create icon images for the existing icon variables.

3rd Party Plugins - (fb2k) / Lyric Show Panel 3 - How to configure local file search
Last post by Stórr Fogl -
I have lyrics in local files stored in sub-directories "Lyrics" located in every directory with album.

Sound files has two names patterns:
   %tracknumber% - %title%
   %date% %album% - %title%

Every lyrics txt-file has the name, identical to sound files, to which it corresponds, e.g.
   01 - Song name.txt  corresponds to 01 - Song name.flac
   2024 Album name - Song name.txt corresponds to 2024 Album name - Song name.mp3

Please advise how to configure Lyric Show Panel 3 properties properly, so that lyrics will be searched in the local files presuming above file name patterns.

Sorry for the triple-post (I have a lot of downtime while I'm working, haha...)

Is there any way to set output gain on BASSMIDI?  It seems super loud and some of my files clip on playback.  I know I could bring them up in a sequencer and adjust channel volumes from there, but that's a pretty inelegant and tedious solution.
Don't know. I'll look at the BASS API later. I've noticed it too.

Update:  I thought I was running the most recent release of foo_midi because the component update checker in fb2k didn't show one available (for some reason?).  I just updated from 2.8.5.0 to 2.9.2.0 manually, and despite not seeing any note indicating a fix for this in the version history, it seems my earlier described issue has been completely resolved.  My apologies for wasting everyone's time!
No problem. Thx. for letting me know. The auto-update does not work because Kode54 is still owner of the original entry in the repository. The only solution I see is that @Peter transfers ownership to me or that I start using a new identifier which may confuse casual users. Unless there is another solution I don't know about.

foobar2000 mobile / [Skinning] List of all variables for icons displayed in browsing menu?
Last post by Daiki -
Hi,
I am trying to create some custom icon images for the browsing menu (i.e., Album Artist / Album, Album, Title, ...).

To my knowledge, we can set custom icons by defining the thier images in skindef.txt file (in new skin file format) in the following format:
<icon-variable>: <image file>
For example, the <icon-variable> includes iconplay, iconpause, and iconfolder-*.
Now, my skindef.txt file contains the following <icon-variable>s.

Code: [Select]
iconplay:
iconpause:
iconfolder:
iconfolder-album:
iconfolder-all:
iconfolder-artist:
iconfolder-bits:
iconfolder-chorus:
iconfolder-compilation:
iconfolder-composer:
iconfolder-genre:
iconfolder-instrument:
iconfolder-orchestra:
iconfolder-period:
iconfolder-playlist:
iconfolder-rating:
iconfolder-style:
iconfolder-title:
iconfolder-type:
iconfolder-year:
iconfolder-upnp:
iconfolder-shuffle:

However, there are some icons whose <icon-variable> is unknown.
For example, iconfolder-shufflealltracks, iconfolder-shuffleallalbums, iconfolder-albumbyrelease, iconfolder-albumbyartists, and so on.
In addition, some, like icon-rating and Advanced Search, do not match <icon-variable> and its menu item.

Is there a list of all icon variables?
And is it possible to set different images for the icons whose <icon-variable> is unknow as mentioned above?

foobar2000 mobile / Android - albums with the same title, but from different artists, are mixed
Last post by magicgoose -
Albums with the same title, but from different artists, can be intermixed together when viewed in the "Shuffle all albums" listing, and also if this album name is selected from "Album" listing.
The files are of course in different folders, but this fact is not taken into account.

For example, more than one artist has an album "Metamorphosis". When this album* pops up in the "Shuffle all albums" listing, or is opened from "Album" picker, it looks and plays like this:
1. Artist A, track 1
2. Artist B, track 1
3. Artist A, track 2
4. Artist B, track 2
etc.

Interestingly this doesn't seem to happen 100% of times. I have 3 albums with such a title, and only 2 of them are blended together into one. I guess this must be because the unaffected album comes from a different Music folder in Media Library, while the other 2 are in the same Music folder in Media Library. Maybe some sort of ID of the Music folder already acts as a (part of a) unique key.

To fix this, I think albums having a different Album Artist value, should be also always considered distinct.

I do not see a good workaround that doesn't involve mangling tags, other than arbitrarily moving albums to a different Music folder in Media Library.
