Language/TLAN

How do you use the id3 Language (TLAN) field?
The changelog for version 1.5.4 says:

Allowed multi-value ID3v2 tags: TPUB (Publisher) and TLAN (Language).

So how do I use it? Create a field and name it LANGUAGE? Or TLAN
What should I use as values? ISO-639-2 codes?

Yes to both, I believe. (I have not tested mapping in foobar though it is listed on ID3 Tag Mapping wiki). Here is an old thread on MP3TAG forums that seems to confirm.

I would also imagine for multi-values, use semi-colon as separator, same as other fields. You may need to add the field to Preferences > Advanced > Display > Properties Dialog > Multi-value Fields, so newly entered multi-values are split automatically. (Otherwise in track Properties, right-click field and 'Split Values')

Cheers
