importing .m4p files using Quicktime

On the Mac I was able to import .m4p files into felt tip software's Sound Studio--which used Quicktime for the import--and then save the imported .aiff file without drm. I was wondering if anyone knew about this and if it was possible to do the same thing with a Windows program. FYI Sound Studio used to come preinstalled on new Macs, it may still...I don't know.
