How is this any different, other than the translation aspect, than having lyrics? Lyrics components already exist for Foobar2000. I'm guessing you're talking about the foobar2000 desktop version here and not mobile since these boards are for the desktop version only.
You shouldn't compare a video player like VLC to an audio player.

Code: [Select]
- FIX: Fixed a bug where plman.IsPlaylistItemSelected didn't return a proper boolean
value. Thanks to TheQwertiest for reporting.
- FIX: Fixed a bug where plman.ShowAutoPlaylistUI didn't always return the correct
       boolean value.
- CHG: plman.MovePlaylistSelection now returns a boolean value to indicate success
       or failure.
- CHG: Update docs for consistency with actual component behaviour. Some methods
which returned useless values have been updated to return nothing.
- CHG: On failure, these now return -1

       IFbFileInfo MetaFind
       IFbMetadbHandleList BSearch
       IFbMetadbHandleList Find
This could potentially break some existing scripts. See
- CHG: Remove the whole IStyleTextRender interface. Anything that uses
gdi.CreateStyleTextRender or was based on "glow text sample.txt"

- CHG: Remove these IFbPlaylistRecyclerManager properties/methods:

No changes since beta.
Matroska Audios (.mka) and MPEG-4 Audios (.m4a) can have a captions / subtitles track.

Without a video track, right now VLC is the only media player I know of that will show them - and then only if a visualizer is enabled.

I create Matroska audios that have a AAC track, Opus track, and SRT captions track

For people who have hearing loss but still benefit from sound, the SRT track can be a real benefit in helping them make out the words correctly.

The way I would do it, they would be off by default. Users who want captions would have to enable them in preferences somewhere, and pick a default language. The ability to select a language manually should also exist.

VLC currently works for this purpose, my users who are hearing impaired have an option - so this is a "would be nice" feature request.

I apologize if it already exists and I couldn't find the feature, I don't have Windows - so I was only able to try in the Android version.

Oh and THANK YOU for the Android port. Other than VLC, Foobar2000 is the only audio player on Android I could find that actually plays .mka audios.

Opus - in Desktop Linux distributions it always "just works" and now that foobar2000 works well on Android I don't need AAC anymore.
Foobar can play multiple lossless formats right off the bat like FLAC, WAV, etc. For certain lossless formats like TAK or Monkey's audio you can get the components off the main component directory on foobars website.

Wait is that LA component from 2004?

Thanks guys for your help !

Thanks to Peter's valuable info I could immediately find the 4 culprits. They were 4 "residual files" (.fla.flac - don't ask me where they came from, lol) that I had found and erased on each side before the comparison. I have double-checked, everything is fine now.

In other words, all my lossless files have been PERFECTLY copied and converted to FLAC 1.3.2 in my new hard drive ! Yay !

I can now backup everything and finally get some rest.

Again, thanks to everybody for your great help. I really appreciate. :)
Unfortunately it was reported earlier this year and wasn't fixed in 17.10. Hopefully it will be moved to main or fixed in another way before 18.04 LTS.
foo_la.dll doesn't work in new version of Foobar.

Foobar cannot play lossless audio.

Foobar says that listeners must create the component with newer Foobar SDK.

If you're happen to have Visual Studio installed, please make the dll for me!
