Scanning a USB device when I hook one up

Hi,

I work a lot with external USB Drives and Sticks. Whenever I hook one up, Foobar starts up and is investigating the device for music. I can easily shut Foobar down, so it stops. But when I'm listening music on Foobar and do the same, my music stops and that is very annoying.

How can I prevent Foobar from such behavior?

Cheers,

Dennis

Hi there,

What flavor of Windows are you on? This sounds more like a Windows thing than a foobar2000 thing. Perhaps you inadvertently set the Windows AutoPlay dialog that pops-up for removable drives.

I think only thing you can do in foobar is make sure the drive letter is not in the monitored folders? (Library menu > Configure)

Cheers

Hi Anamorphic,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. The autoplay settings for removable devices in Windows 10 was indeed to play with Foobar. So it's resolved now!
