Automatically switch between album and track gain

I'm missing a feature in foobar which is available on my Rockbox powered iPod: It automatically selects the replaygain mode depending on playback order: When it is set to shuffle, it will use track gain, else it'll use album gain. Is there an easy way to do this in foobar?

I'm sure there is some way to accomplish this with AHK, but I always change the playback order using the repective toolbar, so that's unfortunatly not an option for me

Is this toolbar in Foobar? could someone please tell me what component it is? or how to get a display on the status bar telling me what type of gain I'm using?

I know this thread is almost a year old, but did any of you guys get an answer on this?

if you have the AHK code to do the flipping that would be awesome, as I also use AHK.

it is my mission today to figure out how to make foobar act like Rockbox.  I've got it loaded on my IAudio X5L.

manually flipping from Album / Track is kinda annoying.

Replaygain override (foo_rg_trn), configureable at Preferences | Playback | Replaygain override.

There is a plugin calles rgoverride or so. This creates some settings where you can choose the gain by playmodus. For example when shuffle(tracks) is activated then foobar uses trackgain while using default playorder Foobar uses Albumgain.

If someone created a function that would call any menu item - just like panels' $button, but without user interaction, you could accomplish something like this and many other useful things very easily.

I know it's a hack, but it would really ease many automation things.
Can't wait for a HD-AAC encoder :P
