Apparently it's just your specific device having this issue.
If more people get similar problems, I'll buy a phone that does this and test, but for now it's just you.
Also, this issue, while certainly a bug in something, is something else than what this thread was originally about ("+ add folder" dialog malfunction, can't point foobar2000 at local folders).

You can use software like EaseUS Partition Master to detect and fix SD card errors.

Granted, but I was fine with a 64GB card. I'll try partitioning, as Air KEN suggests- and am looking at updating my phone too this week.

Have you checked these files with a tool like mp3diags or similar?
If the source was YouTube and a "converter" tool was used to get the audio, it is common that the file type is incorrect. Foobar will catch this and call it out as an error.

No I haven't .These are all FLAC or DSD files and the issue is not in Foobar. Many won't play in Jriver once I've copied them from a drive. They play fine off the drive.
The folder is about 46GB. I will try copying in smaller batches.

As a test, prepare a folder with a different name, copy only the most recent FLAC files (10 Albums) to the SD Card, add only that folder to the Media Library and scan it.

If the scan is successful, it means that the problem is not with foobar2000 mobile.
The next step is to detect and repair the corrupted music files.

Thanks Air KEN. As I said, the issue was not with Foobar. My new memory card was faulty. Replaced it and all is well.
