How to make the highligthed track follow the next track after the previous

As the subject reads: How to make the highligthed track follow the next track after the previous without having to do anything ?

I.e. when track nr1 is finished playing, track nr2 starts playing, but, it is still strack nr1 that is highlighted; something that unusual for a media player. Can we do something about this so it behaves like normally ?

File >> Preferences >> Playback >> Other >> Cursor follows playback

I am almost in disbelief that this was not the default setting...

Why assume you're a "default" user?  You have a sample size of 1...
