Equalizer not changing volume (Windows 10 x64, 32-bit Foobar)

I thought that maybe my configuration was the problem, but the eq still does nothing even on a fresh install. If it helps, I used to have Peace EQ and Equalizer APO installed on my PC, but I've since uninstalled them. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Have you actually enabled the DSP? Normal way to use a DSP in foobar2000 is to add it to the DSP chain in Preferences. The built-in EQ has additional way - you can open its configuration dialog directly from the main menu but that doesn't yet enable it. You have to click on the "Equalizer enabled" button at the bottom left corner when using it this way.

The topic title talks about EQ changing volume. I hope you are not using it as a volume control. That would be highly inefficient.

Another point to note, if you use default outputs and don't use ReplayGain your tracks are most likely already as loud as they can be. Attempt to make things louder with EQ will just make Windows limiter kick in and the signal level is lowered to prevent clipping.

Crap - I spent an hour trying to figure this out just because I thought the bar on the far right was the pre-amp. It's not... ಥ_ಥ
Thanks for the help anyway! Also, no, I wasn't using it for volume control :P
