MP3 - General / Re: Resurrecting/Preserving the Helix MP3 encoder

Hi everyone!

@Wombat , @Case , @JoshuaChang

I figured out the issue!

The issue is totally on my end, and I apologize to everyone, and I appreciate everyone looking into this issue.

It turns out that the issue occurs with my screen magnification software, which is called ZoomText.

Closing down the software wasn't enough, I had to uninstall it completely, and then use the Windows built in magnifier so I could at least try encoding again.

This time @Case last binary he uploaded worked perfectly.

I had tried uninstalling Process Lasso, AVG Internet Security, and then because the issue seemed to be with the way things were updating on the screen so slowly (If not at all), I decided to try and uninstall Zoomtext.

Still, I wonder why @JoshuaChang version doesn't cause this issue, and his clang binary has been the fastest by far with @Case version being second (the latest 64 bit build he uploaded to this thread).

Anyway, I just wanted to say I'm so sorry for driving people crazy and have everyone go through hoops to try and help me troubleshoot the issue.

When saving multiple covers from the same source, there is a dialog that pops up:

Is there a way to format "Options"> "Save images to" to avoid this pop-up by saving successive images with "%n" appended to filename? I've tried using %size% and %type%, but often the files have the same. Thanks.

Rockbox.org comparison, only one single test of ADPCM, but:
FLAC being 80 percent faster. Than "Intel 4-bit IMA-ADPCM (adpcm-xq)", tested on Sansa Fuze+.
Is that IMA-ADPCM heavier than I thought, or just not so well optimized?

(Possibly relevant to the OP's thread at https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,125802 ... ? Edit: Damn me, it was already pointed out in that thread, I need reading glasses.)
