video DVD player storage comparable to foobar2000?

I just downloaded foobar2000 but discovered its a music player only Im using it for my music, nothing better out there. Can someone recommend a comparable video, storage player please?

As far as continuously developed video players, I recommend MPC-BE here (get latest 1.5.2 release):

The famous Potplayer is excellent but the options approach "quicksand" complexity.  VLC Media Player, also excellent but cannot use the top-notch madVR renderer unlike the others.  This topic should be moved to the Misc./Off-Topic forum if you want to continue to discuss video players.

-Install CCP with media player classic checked

after install set file associations by

Going to MPC-HC Options, from “View” menu >> Options From the Options menu click on “Format” and then click on “Run as administrator”

Click on associate with video format only (V), check “Use the format-specific icon”

click apply and OK

Have you had a look at this component? https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,113166.0.html (now renamed Chimera, see #50).

Won't make fb2k into a full-blown video player, but if your thing is to have vids accessible from fb2k ...?
