Modify crossfade settings from inside a component

Hello everyone,

I'm currently rewriting (from scratch, no backup available :() my component for foobar 2.0 and I was wondering if the settings that control sound fading on track changes / seeking can be modified from the component code.

I already understand from the wiki that those settings are not available to all users (depends on DirectSound compatibility).

If it is possible, this will make smoother the song transitions my component already does.
