I think I have found out how to reproduce this. It seems as though the searchbox doesn't clear itself.

Type something in the searchbox, double click it to highlight it and try typing something over it.

I may sound stupid now, but... how do I dock it?
I assume it is possible since there are mentions of an "undock" feature (and I've seen screenshots showing it docked), but I couldn't dock it in any way I tried...
I'm using foobar2000 v0.9.2 beta 3 and foo_uie_quicksearch 2.0.

Thanks a lot!

Great plugin! I've been waiting for 0.9 ever since you made it available for 0.8.

A few things however
- Nowhere to change font in 0.9 version as suggested in the changelog
- pressing Reset to reset Tagz and then hitting Cancel resets them anyway
- if search string is wider than the the actual panel and you keep typing, the text doesn't shift to the left as it normally would with any other textbox. Try in any small textbox to get the idea.
- would be nice to see the text align in the middle of the panel. Right now it sticks to the top. Not sure whether it's a design flaw or just left to be done later.

I'm on XP SP2.

If those things were already mentioned, please don't yell.

Been eyeing this for awhile. Keep up the good work, Nemo and thanks for the port.

tried to reproduced it hear with 2.0 but still no bug. It must have to do with something else than the plugin:)

I have the same problem, also delete and backspace doesn't clear the characters.

OK, regarding the overwriting problem on typing a couple of characters, the text turns bold, almost as if the box has rewritten itself without clearing initially (though if I try to delete the characters before they turn bold they will still not delete so I'm assuming that the problem occurs after the second key press).

I've tried removing components to see if the problem was there, but no luck, perhaps it has to do with chipset, I'm using an Athlon FX-51 (essentially an AMD 64),  on my other computer, which is a non 64 bit processor (but still an Athlon), the problem does not occur on either 0.9.1 or 0.9.2, perhaps the 64 bit could be a contributing factor (though I'm pretty sure I'm clutching at straws)?  The Foobars are set up in exactly the same way.

Mine's a AMD Duron 1800 KT333 chipset (ancient), if that helps.

Version 2.1 will fix this issue. Please redownlaod from first post.
Note : Users of version 2.0 should manually remove the dll from their foobar components directory before installing any new version. [Valid dll's should be named foo_uie_quicksearch.dll , not foo_uie_quicksearch V.x.dll ... my bad.]
Thanks.

Feature Request.
Could there be an option to auto focus the search result playlist after successful search.

Hello all !

Great plugin indeed, nice work Nemo !

I'm having the same problem frankthechicken and others have reported concerning the non-clearing of the search box. I'm using foobar 0.91 with the latest Columns UI (0.1.3 beta 1v5). Windows XP SP2 Fr on a HP NC6120 Laptop (Intel 915GM)...

Hope this can help (?) and keep up the good work!!!

EDIT: Using Quicksearch 2.1 btw

Same problem here, non-clearing of the searchbox.

Using foobar 0.91, Columns UI 0.1.3 beta 1v5 and Quicksearch 2.1 (AMD palermo, windows xp sp2)

p.s) It clears when check 'Reset search string when successful' in Preferences.

but if not checked (by default), characters starts overlapping.

!!! Urgent !!!

please someone tell me how i can configure quick search to display in a playlist i create instead of making a new one with the search text i typed in. Pretty much i want it to go to a playlsit that says Search Results instead of "Search Results Jimi Hendirx Axis Bold As Love"

go to Preferences - Search Results and History - Target Playlist

and fill it with 'Search Results'

and check off 'Append search string to playlist name'

Great Plugin so far, but here's a feature request: can you add an option for simply playing the first matching item instead of putting all matching items into a new playlist?

Thanks!
