Itunes and Iphone - any new interface?

Was looking at the old IPOD plugin that can be used with ITUNES 12.4 (32bit) version.  Problem is that the newest IOS on iphones only works with Itunes 12.5 and above. 

Can of course just go back and forth with PLAYLISTS I suppose.  Does anyone else have any better solutions to get an Iphone working with FOOBAR2000?

I wish, I've got an 8+ but sadly it isn't even seen by foo_dop. And updating iTunes ain't an option due to this damned 32bit hybrid requirement.
The only other option I know of is TuneFusion but ... $...
