Decoding failure (Security error)

Hello!

Since last week I cannot listen to my favorite radio station.

Right after playback starts I get the error:
Code: [Select]
Decoding failure at 0:02.438 (Security error):

It happens to foobar 1.3.17 and 1.4 b3
Windows Media Player stops playing the playlist after one or two seconds.
And VLC keeps playing with occasional lags.

This may not be a foobar issue, since other players also fail, but maybe someone has an idea or hint about what is going wrong here.

Here is a link to the radio station (Deluxe Music) with M3U and PLS playlists (at the bottom).
https://www.deluxemusic.tv/radio/radio.html

I really hope someone can help me out here.

__________
Anyway I will write a mail to the webmaster and state the problem.

There is probably an issue with SSL certificates with the site or in your operating system (Internet Explorer). Maybe Windows needs updated root cerificates.

Try removing https and chaning the port to use plain HTTP like so:

https://deluxe-radio.mivitec.net:8443/0001

http://deluxe-radio.mivitec.net:8000/0001

It's a radio playing pop music and security is irrelevant with it.

Issue with the operating system. They work here. Check your certificates against the secure stream link above.

How can I update the root certificates? I checked some MS Support articles but I don't get what the're writing...

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/931125/how-to-get-a-root-certificate-update-for-windows
an then:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2970908/how-to-use-microsoft-easy-fix-solutions
On the above page there's a bunch of links and tools and I have no idea which one to take.

Is there an easy n00b guide for the certificate update procedure?

Many thanks in advance

The updates was supposed to be automatic since Vista or later... I'm not sure. Windows is not very clear in the error message as usual. I wouldn't put much effort into this, and possibly break something else in the process.

I can also play the streams if I add deluxe-radio.mivitec.net in Foobar to Advanced preferences -> Networking -> Suppress HTTPS cerificate checks for domains

Тo play other radio streams than Deluxe, just change the last number, or see what they all are on the Icecast page, where you can get an m3u with a click.
