Title: I tried to repair a CD-rip with EAC 1.5
Post by: box55 on 2021-04-16 21:44:47
Did I succeeded? The CD has some scrtches, that's why some songs didn't rip well.

Original log created by EAC 1.5 with the errors:

Can I check or something if finally the rip is 100% correct? How can I know which is the best match when repairing of those 4 options?

Mod Edit: Add thumbnail of image.

You can run Verify. That will give you the full log report including the CTDB section.

All 4 tracks were repaired by the same recovery record. The log doesn't show you had any other choices.
Edit: Found the picture. Those 4 options were for metadata. To keep original metadata, untick 'Edit Tags' when repairing.

So this album only had one option to correct it and the 4 results are just for metadata? If someone ripped the CD with different results (because different manufacturing CD or something) where it shows?

How can I open the .accurip file that gets created when repairing?

You could enable 'Detailed log' on the 'Advanced Tab' of settings
http://cue.tools/wiki/CUETools_Advanced_Settings:_Advanced#CTDB
the results of rips as a whole CD will be added to the CUETools log (.accurrip file)
http://cue.tools/wiki/CUETools_log#Comparison_of_this_rip_.28whole_disc.29_to_CTDB_records
Note: Due to an issue with early versions of the CTDB EAC Plugin, it is recommended to avoid doing a repair when the CTDB shows only 1/x. (where 1 is the number of rips in the database that match that CTDBID and x is the total number of rips for all CTDBIDs)
http://cue.tools/wiki/CTDB_EAC_Plugin#Known_issues
each CTDBID is a different rip result and each CTDBID that has more than 1/x rips may be due differences in the CD that was ripped (different manufacturing, a manufacturing flaw, etc.).

You can also view the top 10 for the layout of your CD on the database site.
Copy the CTDB TOCID from the EAC extraction logfile
Code: [Select]
SgMv28hQhGAe8OA_wEWkQuSkTok-
and add that to
Code: [Select]
http://db.cuetools.net/top.php?tocid=
http://db.cuetools.net/top.php?tocid=SgMv28hQhGAe8OA_wEWkQuSkTok-
The Cf column to the far right is the number of rips that match each CTDBID.

How can I open the .accurip file that gets created when repairing?
The .accurip file is a text file that can be opened with a text editor such as 'notepad'.
