error code 0:FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_ERROR_STATUS_

Hey, I just downloaded some .flac files that are giving me error code 0:FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_ERROR_STATUS_
LOST_SYNC... and the directory that the .flac files are in does have the .flac16 extension... any ideas?

The FLAC stream may have been created by a more advanced encoder. Try
metaflac --show-vendor-tag mmw2005-08-14d1t04.flac
If the version number is greater than 1.1.2, this decoder is probably
not able to decode the file. If the version number is not, the file
may be corrupted, or you may have found a bug. In this case please
submit a bug report to
http://sourceforge.net/bugs/?func=addbug&group_id=13478
Make sure to include an email contact in the comment and/or use the
"Monitor" feature to monitor the bug status.

Bizarre, do these files play back in Winamp? I've never seen an error like that @_o

looks like from the filename tat this is a live show/bootleg. Where was teh source, what was the download protocol? Bit torrent? Looks like the files are foo bar, almost as is the donwnload wasn't finished.

The server you are downloading the files from does it allow you perform a checksum? Chances are if there is a checksum mismatch and the stream is non-decodable,  it's because you never recieved all of the data.
