Can see library over http, but not play it.

Hi

I have connected my home library to my phone via Tailscale, and have added the server in my Foobar mobile app giving the address of the home machine:56923/DeviceDescription.xml I can see and navigate through the library, but when I select a file or playlist to play, it fails as 'network error'. Do I need to give any more access anywhere, edit streaming profile etc?

Thanks to anyone who can offer any advice.
