what plugin to control from external app?

I've been reading a bit and everyones gonna tell me not to use WM_COMMAND. Well I don't care. I actually need to do it with WM_COMMAND (and SendMessage). So is there an existing plugin I can use which would let to do basic things such as Play, Stop, Next and Previous?

You could try using foo_winamp_spam. It catches commands supposedly directed at winamp, and allows programs designed to control winamp to control foobar.

You could then maybe write your app to use the winamp API
