Is v2 caching info for all files even if they are not in library?

It seems like fb2k v2 is caching info for all files even if they are not in media library and do never reload it automatically if file is not modified. For example, after updating from beta 7 to beta 8 and reading problematic file from https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,122965.0.html to playlist, i needed to use "Reload info from files" for correct info to appear. To be clear: file was removed from playlist, foobar was closed, updated, then file was added to playlist and "Reload info from files" was needed.
The same problem appears when i test different decoders that are reading info differently, for example, native decoders vs foo_input ffmpeg. 1.6.12 acts differently: if file is removed from playlist, fb2k is closed, then file is again added, info is updated automatically.
Is this caching of info for all files in v2 made by intention?

Noticed this earlier today also. Would be great to have like an 'auto' function available.

Behavior persists in beta 26.
