It would be very much appreciated if an option could be added to purge metadb.sqlite of deleted/removed items.

Thank you.
+1.  It has been erroneously stated elsewhere (even confusingly implied on the SQLite website) that a VACUUM command will do this.  It will not.

And exposing settings to tweak which tags are cached and which ones ignored, no one needs full tag caching by default and it is totally counterproductive on large libraries...

Feature request!
Some kind of playback protection, that is, if is playing and the user accidentally plays another track, a pop up will appear saying "please wait for the current track to finish?" or something like that.
Optional of course!

There is a partial protection against the worst: Preferences -> Shell Integration -> Set "Enqueue" as default action. Then at least you are protected if the user accidentally sends another track to fb2k.

Feature Request.

There are two things I would love to see for the Playlist View groups.

1. Sticky group headers

2. Full text formatting for the group header, particularly using < and > to dim/highlight text

SimPlaylist has these features, however it is not actively maintained and the source is unavailable. It's not an option for amd64 or ARM.

Hello,

it would be nice to add custom fields in [Album information] and [Track information] list in Rip CD dialog.
For me needed is [comment] and [media] information tags for my or my digitized vinyl rips on CD, so that I don't have to tag again afterwards  :)) .

Thanks for implementation

Yes, I know that and it's activated since... years. But, I'm referring to an option that is present on those DJ mixing software that it protect the current playing track upon loading another one.
That is, on f2k, while a track is playing, is always playing until that track ends, with that, it means while playing not only by double click on the Operating System environment, but on the program itself also.
Don't know if I'm clear, let me know.
Thanks

This is already possible by album list on Default UI
