Remove unwanted items from Add Location list

How to remove unwanted items from the Add Location drop down list?

25 years of PC usage has taught me to highlight an unwanted entry and hit the delete key, but that doesn't work, so could someone please tell me how to delete them? It seems like it should be very simple. :)

Right-click the arrow on the drop-down box and choose either "Wipe History" or "Remove this history item."

The "right-click the arrow" part..... I'm not sure I'd have ever thought to do it for that sort of menu item.
