mpc streaming ?

Sorry if this has been covered ad infinitum before, but I am newbie.

Is there any program that can encode mpc on the fly for streaming radio purpose ? kinda like winamp shoutcast plugin.
Perhaps my ears are strange, but I find the quality of mpc with radio setting to beat all other 128kbit/s coders out there.
The average bitrate will often be below 128k for the kind of music I listen to on the radio :>
If the encoder itself does not support this, perhaps somebody has made a work-around?
Like make viritual files and stream what mpcenc is writing to file, realtime with a little buffer delay.
It should not be hard to do say in linux, but I'm not an software expert..
