Audio cd problem

why is that that when i open a audio cd in foobar, it displays the tags like ARTIST - audio, ALBUM - cd, CODEC - cdda (so far so good), but when it retrieves the tags from freedb, it no longer displayes album, artist or any other info. the only thing thats displayed is the songs' names, not even the track. is is supposed to be like that? no infos on the left side of the playlist? (using columns UI) thanks.

Make sure all required tags are present in every file of the album. For most configurations you need the album title, track title, track number and artist in order for the album to be displayed properly.

Also check your freedb tagger to see if you accidentally unchecked a critical field, which could be why things took a change for the worse after getting the info from freedb.

as we can see, the "album info" column is empty, but the artist, album and date tags are present, as we can see in the titlebar.
also, the tracknumber tag is also missing in its respective column.

Is the tracknumber tag actually there though? Like Excrono said, a lot of playlist title formattings rely on the tracknumber to display different info for each line in the album column, and hence will display nothing in that column when the tracknumber tag is not present.
