Thanks for the reply, Case. To verify the problem, i did it previously partially as you described it. I compared original wav file to files encoded  using FB2K converter with flac and lame encoders from free encoder pack, that is under your maintenance. The given flac and mp3 files have an exact length and "shift" relative to beginning of the file as original wav file. The file given by hmp3 encoder (i tried 4 different binaries from last month, all give relative to each other exact same length and "shift", individually with FB2K converter or as standalone cmd encoding) is consistently with every wav file i tried, shifted approx. 25ms "to the right", though the file has exact same length as original wav file. As i write, this shift is consistent with every file i tried, therefore i doubt that this is a result of some exotic combination. Parameters are "basic":
- for FB2K converter;  -F18500 -HF2 -V150 - %d
- standalone cmd; hmp3 input ouput -V150 -HF2 -F18500
So  relative to each other, these two files are exactly the same and relative to original wav file they have exact same length, but at the beginning there are approx. 25ms "added".

I tried previously the binary comparator as well. Interesting is, it reports 0 offset!.. and of course with differencies found, as lame and hmp3 cannot give same results.
May be, that the tag info causes this, but i won't speculate here. To be true, i can't imagine, this cannot be confirmed by somebody else. And yeah, the binary comparator doesn't detect this shift of 25ms, so this may have specific explanation.. feature by design or bug.    

Edit: i'd like to correct my previous reply, where i mentioned "samples" instead of miliseconds, apologize for that.. my mistake.

Are you sure you have not mixed up the x86 and x64 version? Both versions work correctly as has been confirmed by other users.

Only this version (v2.11.0.0-alpha1, 2024-05-11).
There is no problem with earlier versions.
Confirmed on 3 PCs.

Support - (fb2k) / Re: Foobar seems to ignore LFE channel.

My reply from yesterday was incomplete. I was certain foobar2000 loses LFE intentionally in some downmix but was confused yesterday as I tested the bundled "Downmix to stereo" DSP and it retained it. And I have 5.1 speaker setup - without DSPs there is no reason to lose the LFE channel as I have a speaker for it.

The default output will lose LFE if you have configured your speaker setup not to have .1 channel. For example if you have just stereo output or 4 channel surround setup.
XAudio2 output component uses OS channel mixer, it too intentionally removes LFE if you don't have that speaker.
WASAPI exclusive mode can play the LFE even if speakers are set into stereo mode if you actually have a speaker for it.
My 'WASAPI (shared)' component retains the LFE in its internal downmix.

In conclusion, if you have only stereo setup and you want to ensure LFE stays intact, use the downmix DSP.

General - (fb2k) / Win Volume Integration

v2.1.3 [x64] Win10 Pro
I'm a Newbie and probably by accident, I've had the Volume control buttons on my keyboard linked to the current track - displaying the artist details alongside the slider pop-up.
The connection has somehow broken :-[
I recall seeing a parameter to allow integration with Win Volume while I was experimenting yesterday. I had the integration regardless of how it was set but this morning I can't even find the setting and I've lost the integration.
Not sure if it's related but about 2 weeks ago I experimented with audioscrobbler but it wasn't what I thought so I uninstalled it immediately.
On the off-chance, I reinstalled it this morning but it didn't change the situation - nor did it magically reappear when I (hopefully) uninstalled it
Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Bitcompare, like ABX, needs at least two selected tracks so there is something to compare against. A hotkey you set up for these functions will work just fine if you select two tracks and then hit the hotkey.

Are you sure you have not mixed up the x86 and x64 version? Both versions work correctly as has been confirmed by other users.
