Title: sweep sine and HE AAC
Post by: lvqcl on 2012-10-14 10:29:53
Generate a sweep sine and encode it to HE-AAC. Foobar2000 doesn't play frequencies above ~6 kHz. Other players/decoders reproduce them (the only other exception is NeroAacDec.exe).

attached file was encoded with Winamp FhG at 32 kbps HE AAC.

foobar2000 1.1.16: The bug still exists.
Any comments?

Yes, weird decoding issue, and it seems to be there for a long time because it also occurs with foobar 1.0.3 I have on an older PC.
I guess it has something to do with the SBR part because of the frequency involved.
