Title: Good DVD player
Post by: amp on 2002-08-09 04:56:48
I was wondering if somebody can recommend me a good DVD player. I mean, one that delivers good audio quality. I'm not going to buy anything... just curious.

What's your price range?
Do you already have a Dolby Decoder (Optical) or jsut want plain stereo?

The Sony series is pretty good.

You mean a stand-alone DVD player for use with a TV? If so, the Pioneer DV-353 (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pioneer/CDA/HomeProducts/HomeProductDetails/0,1422,34225,00.html) is one incredible machine at an amazing price -- only $115 (http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_code=piodv353k) USD at etronics.com.

You might want to consider a player that can also handle SVCD and VCD. Lots of guys are interested in SVCD at Doom9.

It's a good thing the Pioneer's can handle those types of discs just fine.
