foo_burninate Doesn't Recognise New Drive

I recently installed a new DVD/CD writer. It's a Samsung SH-224 SATA drive and I've been having some trouble getting it to write CD's and DVD's. In fact it won't write them at all even though all my apps read from it OK.

Anyway, I thought I'd try foo_burninate in case the problem lay with my (rather old) software. I installed the imapi2 update and restarted Windows (XP Home SP3 by the way) but my new Samsung drive doesn't appear in the drop-down list of available devices. Is there something else I need to do?

thanks
