aiff sample rate

Hi,

I've got one question:
which sample rates are supported by aiff file format? Is it possible that 96 and 192 kHz won't work? I'm trying to convert wave-files into aiff-files and get strange results with 96 and 192 kHz. Actually iTunes won't play them properly.

AIFF supports up to 64bit multichannel and high resolution files (up to 192kHz), but only as of QuickTime 7. But, even if you have QT7 installed, I don't think iTunes will play them back because of the way it currently integrates with QT. There's been talk of a rewrite as of iTunes 5, but who knows.
