If the toolbar has focus, could you make a button to quickly clear the input field. "Escape" would be the most intuitive choice for this action. afaik at the moment escape does the same as the enter button so it would be no problem to make it free for this action.

Could there be an option to close the quicksearch window on successful search, when not using quicksearch in the toolbar?

Looks strange .... it works fine here on two W2K machines. Are you sure you have the latest version?

Funny how much debugging starts with "Reboot... Reinstall... Update... Ask", doesn't it?

Take a printsceen of your quicksearch configuration and show us it.  Also, make sure you checked the box "use custom colors"...

Try to remove foo_uie_quicksearch from your components folder, launch foobar once (and reply "no" when it asks if you want to keep the quicksearch settings), shutdown foobar, redownload quicksearch, relaunch foobar and let us know what is the result.

Did just that and still the same problem

I think something else in windows is controlling the textbox color. Don't know what it could be though.

What version of internet explorer do you have?

Any chance of getting it to search in real time (like as you're typing it in having it auto update the results with each keystroke)?
edit: doh, don't mind me. didn't see that there >.<

I suggest lodging a complaint to microsoft, unless you have other software or components that skin properly.  In which case, maybe telling the quicksearch dev' which components work will enable him to work something out.

Out of interest, would it be possible to make it visually more configurable, ie:

- Font
- Minimum height.
- Grey border that actually works.

As currently it takes up way more space than it needs to.

Excellent plugin !

Could you please make the properties dialogue scrollable ? This would benefit everyone who has set a bigger system font.

Here's a screenshot:

Ideally the Properties Window should expand to fill the whole Window container

Thanks,

N.

While we're on the topic of the settings dialog, could you get rid of that hideous MS Sans Serif on the first help page?

Yeah, really great plugin!
-> For me, perhaps, the most important plugin released for 0.9 :-)

One request: I like the "Winamp MediaLibrary" Navigation... Your plugin combined with foo_browser results nearly in this workflow... When there would be a possibility to send the search results to foo_browser ui.
At the moment I do this by hand:
-> First seach via foo_uie_quicksearch
-> Right click on result playlist -> Button "Browse"

Than I can improve the "inexact" search result comfortable by browsing via foo_browser e.g. the albums. It's nearly the same like choosing in context menu "Quicksearch for same..." but a bit more comfartable.
When I could write some lines of C++ I would create this "Mashup" by myself, but so I'm constrained to ask you :-)

Bug?

When I search via Extended Search for that: "part" HAS "<something I want to search for>"

...I get always!!! this file as result:

PART Tag:
II. Scena e Duetto: "Alfredo?" / "Per Parigi or or partiva" (Violetta, Annina, Germont)
