Real <= v3(?) headerless format

Newer versions of Real (G2 onwards at least) have a nice chunk-based file layout, but older versions have an entirely different file structure (starting with ".ra" instead of ".RMF", at least for RealAudio, not sure about old RealVideo files - I assume ".rv" ?). Does anyone have documentation for this older file structure, specifically to determine bitrate, playtime, sample frequency, that kind of stuff?
