MP4 metadata which fb2k doesn't like

Hi,

a friend of mine was fiddling around with a software which writes iTunes-style metadata to MP4 audio files. He somehow came up with the two files in this thread of the upload section. The metadata in these files are displayed correctly by

  • Windows 7 (build 7600) and Windows Media Player 12
  • iTunes 10.0.x
  • Winamp 5.581.

but not by foobar 1.1.x. There, the metadata are simply not displayed. Can someone please take a closer look at why exactly foobar doesn't like the metadata in these files? This might help my friend find out if he is actually writing valid iTunes tags.

Thanks,

Chris

And not by Mp3Tag. Sorry, not really a closer look.

Thanks for checking, Terry! Is anyone a member of the Mp3Tag forum and would be so kind and re-post the same issue there?

By the Way, TagScanner 5.1 does show the metadata.

Also, a simple change in the data so as to force a TagScanner save = metadata [all fields not just the changed field] seen by Foobar.

Oh, that might be helpful. Would you mind uploading one of the TagScanner-modified files to the upload thread? Preferably with only one change, and one which doesn't affect the length of the tags. Like changing the track number to 9 or so.

Thanks,

Chris
