I quickly glanced through the past topics and also questioned the forum's search form, but without noticeable result.
My question is as follows: I own a Soundblaster Live!, which is connected w/analog Line-Out to an external Marantz PM-8000 Stereo Amplifier.
There are rumours which say that one should use the PP-Output Plugin w/SSRC Resampling Function ... is this correct? Unfortunately there's no real documentation on this topic on the web ...
In which cases is the SSRC Plugin recommended? I'd be very glad if anyone could tell be about the process of internal resampling performed by the SB Live! on several occasions I heard about ... unfortunately without documentation, again ...

SSRC resamples the sound from 16 bit 44khz to 48khz using triangular noise distribution, a method that is supposedly more accurate than the one built into Live cards.

Users report their experiences with SSRC plugin.
But the first thing to do if checking that in your control panel/multimedia/audio/advanced properties, the sample rate conversion quality is set to "best" (and choose "hi fi speakers" instead of "desktop speakers", while you're at it).
