Ignore the comments here. Mods are ignorant when it comes to sound*quality*.

There's a difference *if* one can hear it. Most people can't.

I suggest to circumvent Windows drivers and use a (real) ASIO driver all along. Problem is: the built in foobar ASIO driver has a poor sound quality. And they don't care.

Try this https://sourceforge.net/p/foobar2000-wasap2-output/tickets/_discuss/thread/2da4937247/98bc/cf78/bf3b/8532/229f/attachment/foo_out_asio2.dll > this is the latest 2.0.3

Look in the ticket forum over there

https://sourceforge.net/p/foobar2000-wasap2-output/tickets/

for more infos about affinity settings and infos about powerstates.

No use discussing with people here who can't hear it or claiming it's all the same.

Cheers
