Just delete lame.exe and replace it with the new one. If you want to know where lame.exe is located, press Ctrl-P, go to Advanced Settings, Tools->Converter->Additional Command-line encoder paths.

foobar2000 does not include any version of LAME out-of-the-box. The user must download an executable and tell foobar2000 where to find it, either in the location specified by White_Shadow or in the dialog box that appears when one begins a conversion without having previously set up the encoder. The latest version of LAME can always be downloaded from RareWares.
