Title: v1.3.4 decodes a file differently than v1.3.2
Post by: Henry66 on 2022-03-13 16:37:26
Using the following command:
flac.exe -d track.flac -o track.wav
I get different results between v1.3.4 and v1.3.2 for a particular track.

I noticed this because MasVis (https://lts.a.se.hemsida.eu/lts/masvis) does not like the output from v1.3.4, but is fine with the output from v1.3.2.

My .flac files are from CD rips, and it doesn't happen with all tracks.

Hunch: 24-bit, HDCD decoded? Then flac 1.3.3 and 1.3.4 will use the WAVEFORMATEXTENSIBLE version of the .wav format.

MasVis generates nine negatives at VirusTotal: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/c3469b820b56a3e7b98451732a88ce4d8a107ebadd020420ba33418a599b2843
