Version 1.6.1 dont update the metatags

Hi folks!

I am trying to update the metatags of an album and cant do it. What is happening?

The audio do not have the flag readonly.

Please, help.

Is there anything written in the console when trying to update the tags?

Also white-list Foobar in any antivirus applications you're using, these can interfere with tagging operations.

nothing in the console.

but avast always was friendly with foobar, i dont see why it would be different this time.

I had the same issue with 1.6.2 Beta 2, changing any tags would cause Foobar to freeze. I had to close it in task manager.

Installing the latest beta seems to have fixed the issue, so maybe there was a bug?

Are you specifically updating tags of the file that is currently playing?
Please make a minidump of the frozen process with Process Explorer and send it to me for analysis, I should be able to figure it out. There have been scarce reports of such bug before and it has not been fixed as far as I know as I have not been able to recreate it or get a minidump of it.

i were not playing the album.

also, i forgot to say its is a flac album... with .cue!!!

i will see as i can generate a minidump with process explorer!!

I was under the impression it wasn't supposed to be able to edit the metadata in a .cue. Is it supposed to?

Which specific fields are you unable to alter? There are tags in your FLAC file, which are getting merged with .CUE metadata, which may result in what seems like fields that cannot be deleted.
