Foobar seems unaware of %UserProfile% shortcut

I'm using m-TAGS to allow different users of the computer to apply their own ratings to albums and songs in the library.  I've written some scripts for the Album List Views to filter on the ratings.  Ideally, the m-TAGS folder would be in the User directory so when someone logs in their files are used for the library and the scripts in the Album List Views list can be non-user specific by specifying the library path as %UserProfile%\m-TAGS.  I can't get this to work.  I've edited the C:\Users\Dave\AppData\Roaming\foobar2000\library file so the library path is %UserProfile%\m-TAGS (I couldn't see a way to do this with the GUI) , Foobar does locate the files and puts them into the library, but with the path C:\Users\Dave\...  So my scripts that look for and replace %UserProfile% don't work.  Is there any way to do what I'm trying to do?

You cannot use %% environment variables in scripts, as they are environment variables, not script variables. You will need to ask someone to implement a script command for parsing environment variables, or a variable for just that one string.
