Quicksearch + Filters for Columns UI?

Hi,

Is there a way to get the filters from columns UI to update when you do a search using the foo_quicksearch plugin?
I think this is how iTunes does it if I remember correctly (not used it in years!).
The screenshot here shows what I'm after.

Currently, the search results are shown in a new auto-generated playlist, and the filters remain at the positions they were previously at.

The filter itself contains a toolbar for searching inside filters
