[ZEALOTRY] From: New Kenwood car stereos (head units) now support FLAC

As I said in another thread, my Ford cannot play FLAC but it can play WMA lossless. Is one superior to another? They're both lossless.

Being lossless is obviously not the issue when almost no members of HA maintain archives in WMAL while many use FLAC, and there are various reasons to prefer the latter that aren’t just due to said distribution of preferences. In that respect, yes, one is indeed superior to the other.

Your enthusiasm to post the same comment in response to both posts announcing this makes it seem as though you’re downplaying the value of new support for FLAC for no reason, except perhaps because you like talking about yourself.

Sorry you took it that way. I archive everything in FLAC and would be delighted to play it in the car that way. However, I'm cheap and many are also and I'm not about to spend serious bucks to change something that is heavily integrated into the car. If there's another way to get from point A to B that does so for essentially free I thought I was being helpful. Obviously I'm mistaken.
