low bitrate on portable players

I've just encoded "100th Window" by Massive Attack with ogg -q-2 and it works perfectly on my iAudio U3 2GB (firmware 1.23). FYI, it works flawlesly with flake -12 (AKA new FLAC encoder) also. So it looks like iAudio U3 was a perfect choice! 

Edit:
For test I've used Lancer(SSE2MT) [20060915] (based on aoTuV r1 [20051117] ogg encoder.
