A wire ferrule is not the same at a banana plug, so I would say this wouldn't work...

Just use the bare wire connection or buy speakon connectors. Putting those ferrules in the binding post terminals is suboptimal, it is made to clamp down bare wire not a hard metal piece that is crimped.
