5.1 playing stereo mp3

Hello, I have 5.1 sound system and the majority of music on the net is stereo mp3's, trying to play those means only two speakers are working and subwoofer doesn't. I used to use channel mixer (component for foobar), but since the latest update it doesn't work anymore and the developer stopped the development of that particular component.

Ok, my question is, how can I convert stereo into 5.1 in foobar ?

I see a convert stereo to 4 channels, but I need to 6 channels, is there such a component ?
