CUETool how do you extract to multi tracks ?

Hello Guys

thank you in advance for any help

Ok I'm using EAC to rip my CDs to one wav file + cue sheet

I now need to extract multiple wav files from the single  (Whole Album) Wav file without damaging any audio files

I was using an easy to use program called medieval cue sheet splitter that worked well, but been informed it damages audio etc so staying away from that program

Can someone please explain how to do the same thing in CueTool, I have tried everything but can't see how to extract wavs tracks ?

what am I missing to extract to multiple Wav Files

Thank You

Hi

I'm not sure if it me, but what should be the easiest thing to do in CueTools (split the Big Wav, Into lots of little Wavs, Tracks) seems to be the hardest thing to do.

Where is the big button SPLIT ?
How hard can it be to put a big button that says "Split Big Wav To Tracks" ?

I have looked everywhere, I can create another cue file, but not split wav ?
The control and layout leaves a lot to be desired
This is not easy software to use, albeit it's free,

I have even search the help and find that limited on how to achieve this goal, so i'm fast running out of ideas and thinking this will not split the wav file

I have even tried searching through the help in the forum and still can't find the answer ?
what option do you choose Encode? Verify? Create Cue Sheet? Correct File Name?  none of these seem right.

any help will as always will be appreciated

regards

"None" in Audio Output is telling CUETools you don't want audio files. Select "Lossless" instead.

Thank you for your reply, yes found it in the end, needed to take it of None....

Though

Audio quality of extract wav in CueTool not great ?

The extracted audio Wav that CueTool has extracted from the Big Wav file is not as good sounding

Not impressed with the encoded small track wavs, they sound flatter and lost some of the sparkle that the EAC big wav has

are there any settings to adjust ?

under WAV I can see no settings to adjust

I also noticed when Ripping using CueTool Ripper, the same CD Rip sounded better by EAC,

The cue tools Ripper version lost its Sparkle and Stereo depth, sounded flatter and not as wide !!!

It looks as if something is going on with the CueTools encoding of wav files !!

I am using a very high end studio RME Sound Card, I can hear everything when it come to the quality of music on this baby, RME is seriously one of the best makes of studio Sound hardware

and there is deffo some thing not as pleasing to my ears with the CueTools Rip vs the EAC Rip

It looks like I may have to use EAC and just rip to separate tracks to get the best quality, I don't think splitting big files is going to work ?

I have now just done a test with medieveal Cue sheet extractor, it does a better job that CueTools in quality, but still not as good as the original EAC big Wav

But deffo better sounding wav than CueTools extracted wav file ?

Ok I think I have my answer,

Only Rip from EAC and only play those Wav, don't let any program re encode Wavs, if I want to keep the original quality of the Plextor Premium II RIP & EAC

Thanks for any help

Go to Settings > AccurateRip
http://cue.tools/wiki/CUETools_Advanced_Settings:_AccurateRip
Under "Verify", check "Write AccurateRip log" and "In source folder"
Run "Verify" (instead of "Encode") on the original CUE + Big Wav (EAC rip).
Run "Verify" on the new individual wav files you created when you split the Big Wav.
Post the contents of the accurip file created in source folder AND the contents of the accurip file that was created in the folder with the new individual wav files. The accurip file can be opened in a text editor like NotePad.

Logs show no difference in audio hashes but time stamps are 40 minutes apart. Please run "Verify" on both, just to be sure.

Hi

thanks for your reply

I just noticed my sound card setting was in 192000hz (Hi Res Audio)

I have reset back to (44100hz) (CD Quality, now there seems be no difference, audio sounds good from original and track rip

still doing more testing but checksums coming out the same in both

Am I right in thinking

So once CUEtools splits the audio files from the big EAC wav, it then checks  the CRC against the Accurip database of the new small Track Wav ?

Thanks for your help and input

CUETools calculates the CRCs as the audio is processed (not after the new files are created).

Both EAC CueTools allow to rip the CD to tracks, you don't need to first rip into image+cue than rip that image+cue again with CueTools to tracks.
