General Audio / Re: Good requantizers?
Last post by rutra80 -
By lossy/lossless I meant:

16bit PCM --lossy--> 8bit DPCM --lossless--> 16bit PCM

I was hoping it looks like that:
16bit PCM --lossy--> 8bit DPCM --lossless--> 8bit PCM

It's obvious that requantizing to lower bit depth is lossy. I thought that conversion from DPCM to PCM at the same bit depth is lossless though.

Support - (fb2k) / Re: 1.6.7 beta 8 => Exclusive=> Unrecoverable playback error: Unsupported format ! !

Aaagh .......

I wrote too soon.

The files I tested with originally were 24-44 (classical) and they do indeed now play without error.

However, a range of 24-88 and 24-96 files (contemporary) all return 'Unrecoverable playback error: Unsupported stream format: 88200 Hz / 24-bit / 96000 Hz / 24-bit / 2 channels (0x3) (as appropriate) when using Exclusive mode, whether smooth seeking enabled or not and whether the output data format is selected as 24 bit or, for test, 16 bit.

All files play properly when non-exclusive mode is selected.

Sorry.

foobar2000 mobile / Re: foobar2000 mobile files taking up more space on the device than they should?

not by the looks of it. when i look at the album folders on my phone through the "foobar2000 media folder" section, all that's in them is the mp3 files. i assume the album art's just been added as metadata. you might be onto something though.

anyway, since i posted this thread i managed to cut down my music library to fit on my phone by getting rid of stuff i didn't need, so it's mostly no longer a problem for me. still a weird problem that it might be good to get to the bottom of though.

3rd Party Plugins - (fb2k) / Re: Georgia-ReBORN - A Clean foobar2000 Theme
Last post by TT -
I've got a question.  Everything was working great, but then I selected  the option to not show the playlist on startup and started having problems when I stopped.  Sometimes it would crash in georgia-main, sometimes in panel_playist and sometimes it would just show a blank panel.  If I displayed the playlist first before stopping, then it worked fine.  I'm not necessarily asking for a fix because I can certainly live with displaying the playlist on startup and then just clicking on Details.  I just thought I'd let you know.  I wouldn't be surprised if I was the only one to try selecting that option.  Thank you for this great theme.

Hi dwmartin0906,

you're actually the first to report this issue =), thanks! I have actually never used this option so I guess this crash got under my radar.
I already fixed it, you can download the master zip from the Github Page and replace your old Control_Button.js with the new one...
