Remake of the game parallax becomes vaporware, because the developer got a new pc, and then while restoring everything from his external backup-hdd the chips on the drive explode.

Anyone not keeping critical data (sourcecode etc.) on at least two different devices is shooting themselves in the foot.
Laziness is not an excuse (I have a nice .bat script doing the boring part).
Microsoft Windows: We can't script here, this is bat country.
