Title: Using xACT to rip and encode to FLAC.
Post by: Apostulate on 2007-04-22 22:38:53
Okay, I just downloaded the newest version of xACT (1.59) with the intent of ripping a cd and then encoding to FLAC.  Problem is, whenever I attempt this, by going to the "util" menu of xACT, selecting CD Extraction and then wav, adding the files from the cd and then executing, I get the following message:

Code: [Select]
There is no sound support configured!
cdda2wav: Input/output error. inquiry: scsi sendcmd: no error
CDB:  12 00 00 00 24 00
status: 0x2 (CHECK CONDITION)

cmd finished after 0.002s timeout 60s
Inquiry command failed. Aborting...

Has anyone else encountered this?  If you have, is there a solution?

The guide that I was following can be found at this page:
