Recording to AVI from FCEUX Emulator Error

I have DivX Pro 6 codec/encoder installed in a Windows XP SP3 machine and can't use the codec to record with.
I have Quicktime 7.6 Pro, the latest FFDShow Tryouts (Stable) and Haali splitter also.
Is there a combo of enabled/disabled in FFDShow that I need to set?.

I any of that stuff recording software?     ...A CODEC doesn't record or play back.  It only encodes/decodes (sometimes including compression/decompression) certain audio or video formats.    So usually, a CODEC is used along with recording/playback software or it can be used with a converter application to convert from one format to another.
